About MorphoMinds

A literacy assessment, intervention & academic language company.

MorphoMinds, LLC is based in Columbia, South Carolina, serving students locally and virtually across the United States. We specialize in structured literacy and morphology-based instruction for students who need explicit, targeted support in reading, spelling, vocabulary, comprehension, and academic language.

Where our work begins

Students are not broken, lazy, or incapable. When a student struggles, it's usually because a specific skill has not yet been explicitly taught. MorphoMinds identifies the gap, builds a plan, teaches the skill, and measures progress with clarity.

Our story

Why MorphoMinds exists

Most literacy support focuses on helping students complete assignments. MorphoMinds was created to help students understand how language works.

After years of working with students who could memorize vocabulary for a test but struggled to apply that knowledge in reading and writing, we saw a common pattern: students were being taught words, but not how words are built.

MorphoMinds was founded to change that. By combining structured literacy, morphology, vocabulary development, and authentic reading and writing experiences, we help students develop the tools to become confident, independent learners.

The MorphoMinds difference

We don't teach students to memorize words. We teach them to understand how words work.

M

Morphology at the core

Older students meet words like infrastructure and predetermine that require analysis beyond sounding out. We teach the roots, prefixes, and suffixes that unlock them.

S

Structured & explicit

Phonics, decoding, fluency, vocabulary, comprehension, and writing, taught directly and systematically, never left to chance.

P

Independence, not dependence

The goal isn't getting through today's worksheet. It's giving students a system they can apply to any word, any text, on their own.

Questions families ask first

What exactly is MorphoMinds?+
A reading assessment and literacy intervention practice. We help children who struggle to read, including bright kids and those with dyslexia-like challenges, by finding the real cause and teaching the missing skills.
Who works with my child?+
Instruction is led by a National Board Certified educator with 15+ years in literacy, curriculum design, and reading coaching, not a general tutor following a script.
Do you diagnose dyslexia?+
No. MorphoMinds provides educational literacy services and does not diagnose dyslexia, ADHD, or learning disabilities, though our structured approach is a strong fit for children with those profiles.
Where are you located?+
We're based in Columbia, South Carolina, and work with families both in person and virtually across the United States.
Our promise to families

Growth is measured. Not guessed.

Every recommendation begins with assessment. Every intervention begins with a plan. Every plan includes progress monitoring, and every six weeks, families receive measurable updates tied to their child's starting point.
